Grand Opening of ‘House of Sport’ Includes 3 NY Celebrity Athletes

At the beginning of 2023, the Dick's Sporting Goods Store in Latham temporarily closed along with the Field & Stream Store next door.

We now know what Dick's has been doing to renovate and rebrand its massive new store. Dick's House of Sport in Latham will have its grand opening weekend from July 28th through July 30th. There will be interactive games, prizes, and celebrity athlete meet and greets.

What Will The Latham Dick's House of Sport Be Like?

Dick's House of Sport will continue to sell sports equipment but there will be more ways to be interactive. You can not only try out the sports equipment but you can practice your skills too. The new Dick's will have HitTrax batting cages, golf bay simulators with TrackMan, and a rock climbing wall.

The Grand Opening Will Be Full of Prizes & Appearances From Celebrity Athletes

Each morning of the opening weekend, the first one hundred people in line will receive a mystery gift card. You will also be able to enter to win a grand prize each day of up to five hundred dollars. You can play interactive games to win stuff too.

Which Celebrity Athletes Will Be on Hand?

There will be three New York Celebrity Athletes appearing at Dick's House of Sport in Latham for the grand opening weekend July 28th through 30th.

Rebecca Lobo will be at the House of Sport on Friday, July 28th from 5 pm until 6:30 pm

Adam Graves-New York Rangers-NHL left winger

Adam Graves will be signing autographs on Saturday, July 29th from noon until 1:30 pm.

Tino Martinez-New York Yankee First Baseman

Tino Martinez will be signing on Sunday, July 30th from noon until 1:30 pm.

A wristband is needed to meet these celebrity athletes and they will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis at the beginning of each day.
