What is the Saratoga Giant Pumpkinfest?

This free event is in its tenth year and is fun for the whole family. Everyone can take pictures with and view these enormous gourds. There is food, activities, live music, and the amazing giant pumpkins.

Farmers from New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Pennsylvania show off their humongous pumpkins to be judged in various categories. The main event is watching them get weighed. There are thousands of dollars in prize money to win.

The average pumpkin at this event weighs anywhere from 1,500 to 2,000 pounds.

The Saratoga Giant Pumpkinfest happens Saturday, September 27th, at the Saratoga City Center parking garage. You can check out the gigantic pumpkins. Arrive early and then get ready to watch as they weigh these gigantic gourds. It takes time to weigh the pumpkins. Weighing begins at 11 a.m. and takes a few hours to get them all in.

Bring the whole family and get a picture with Upset, the Mini Dark Horse. There will be delicious treats from Stewart's Shops and Nothing Bundt Cakes, Kings Dairy, Thorn + Roots, and more. Next door on High Rock Avenue, you can check out the Saratoga Farmers' Market. They will also have food vendors and special exhibits.
