Getting around downtown Albany is about to get much easier!

After a test run earlier this year, News 10 is reporting trolley service is now running year round in downtown Albany. CDTA officials told News 10 they are running in loops on Washington Avenue, South Pearl Street and Madison Avenue between many popular destinations like the Times Union Center and the Capital. CDTA officials say the trolley is meant to run as a compliment to the regular CDTA bus routes.

The trolley service will run 3 days a week - Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 12:30am, which is a great star. But knowing how much easier this could make navigation downtown if you go to dinner and a show any other night, hopefully they will expand the service. For example, our next big country show at the Times Union is Alabama - on a Sunday (January 20). I know after a few beers and a belly full of food before that show, I will have no interest in making the cold walk down Pearl Street!!
