Free Family Fun at the Capitol
Not sure if you noticed or not, but I had to leave the morning show a little early yesterday because my beautiful, smart, funny, silly daughter Madelyn had a field trip.
She's a Girl Scout and they had a big celebration at the Capitol.
But while we were there we decided to see what other kinds of free fun we could get our hands on!
We took the girls on the free carousel ride on the 4th floor of the museum and they had so much fun! I thought it was really neat how something over 100 years old could entertain the girls more then their beloved iPhones!!
The carousel was also personally interesting to me because it spent some time on Cuba Lake in Western New York where my family is from. We determined that my father rode the same merry-go-round when he was a little boy! That's pretty cool.
Then we took the troop up to the Observation Deck. Also free!!
They loved it, but I think the adults liked it even more! Here are some really cool pics I snapped -
So if you're not doing anything this weekend, take the family to the Capitol! It's beautiful and free and right in our back yard!
