The Saratoga Springs Police Department along with the Capital District Drug Enforcement Task Force conducted a month long investigation about a major marijuana growing operation.

That all came to an end on Friday morning with the arrest of a former home builder, 60-year-old Craig Farnsworth and his wife, 52-year-old Maria Farnsworth. What was allegedly discovered in the couple’s Saratoga Springs home was a large sum of cash, about two ounces of hashish and a big amount of marijuana.

In the story from The Times Union, authorities mentioned that they also secured over 100 pot plants and more than 10 pounds of pot from the home. Police considered this to be a large scale operation.

The Farnsworths now have a slew of charges including Fourth Degree Criminal Possession Of A Controlled Substance, Fifth Degree Criminal Possession Of A Controlled Substance, and others. They will be back in Saratoga City Court in August.
