Former Capital Region Resident’s Amazing Live Song on ‘The Voice’ Lands Him in Top 9
It was a stressful night on NBC's 'The Voice' on Tuesday. Former Capital Region resident, Tae Lewis was in the top twelve and found himself singing for his life on the live show.
What Are Tae Lewis' Ties To The Capital Region?
Back in 2018, Tae Lewis lived in Clifton Park and was in a band for the Redemption Church in Schenectady. He played country music gigs in local bars "Nashville of Saratoga", Gaffney's, Frog Alley, and Cafe Lena. also played at The Great Schaghticoke Fair twice! He played in 2022 and opened for Ernest in 2023.
It was an amazing accomplishment to make it into the top twelve on Dan + Shay's team on 'The Voice' but in Tuesday night's live show, he found himself down to his last save performance. Eight of the contestants had already been chosen and with four remaining, only one would move on. Tae had to sing his heart out and he did!
After all of the remaining performers sang, America was to vote live to save just one. Our own Capital Region country singer, Tae Lewis was America's save.
Tae is now in the Top 9 of NBC's 'The Voice' and will return to the live stage on Monday, May 13th at 8 pm.
We know the Capital Region and Upstate New York will be rooting for Tae Lewis on Team Dan + Shay as he tries to win "The Voice'.
