First There’s Walmart – Now There’s Walmart Express!

I could literally sit down and have an argument with myself about Walmart.  Is it good that we have it or inherently evil?  Is it beneficial that they are now coming out with little  Express Walmarts? I can't decide, so I will now have a huge knock down, drag out with myself, if you don't mind.

So here are a few facts, and then I will proceed with the argument:

Walmart has given away tons and tons to charity.

They have more full time employees than the population of Iceland - 7 times over!

They have 8500 stores.  And they are also opening up itty bitty Walmart's too.

So here's my fight:

Richie 1.-  But it's great that we have them.  Look how many they employ!

Richie 2. - Yea, they hire all the people that used to work in the stores that they put out of business!

Richie 1. - Oh come on.  Didn't you read the stats above.  7x the population of ICELAND!

Richie 2.- Why did they pick Iceland as a comparison.  Who the hell goes to Iceland?

Richie 1 -  You are entirely off the subject (much like you do on the show).  FOCUS!

Richie 2 -  Ok, I will.  Look at all the blacktop they use up!

Richie 1 - Hey -great for skateboarders and people with motor homes, you have to admit!

Richie 2 - Arrf, arrf.    And now they're going to have express stores?  What's next? Walmart.com?

Richie 1-  Be careful what you wish for! They've got great deals on Motrin.  Looks like you need some.

So there you have it.  My own mental wranglings over this subject.  What do YOU think?  Would love to know!
