Erin Brockovitch is coming to Hoosick Falls.

Erin Brockovitch, who became famous as an environmentalist working for the firm Weitz & Luxenberg, will be in Hoosick Falls. Her visit to the Capital Region comes as the state is dealing with water pollution in Hoosick Falls.
Her Capital Region visit is prompted after New York Governor designated the Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics plant, most likely the reason for the PFOA in the Hoosick Falls water, as a Superfund site.

The EPA is recommending Hoosick Falls residents stop drinking and cooking the water in their wells until it can be tested. Until the test is completed, residents can take advantage of the free bottled water for drinking and cooing. PFOA has been linked to certain forms of cancer.
This is actually her second visit to the Capital Region. She was here in 2009 when the Ravena community had concerns over mercury emissions in the water.
