Given how this situation shook our community back in November, I'm surprised by the outcome from Friday when the jury came back after deliberating.

I, like you saw the panic that took place all over social media. Many feared it would be their last messages to family and friends. So, I'll admit, what came back from the jury surprised me.

With a gun shot in a mall, my assumption, which is really all I have to go on is that someone (in this case Tasheem Maeweather) was attempting to put an end to something and/or someone. So, I'm shocked that he was acquitted of attempted murder. Thankfully he has been found guilty of reckless endangerment.

Sentencing will take place on June 23rd, until then Maeweather is in prison on a parole violation.
