The news started trickling in on Facebook just before 3 p.m. on Saturday of an alleged active shooter at Crossgates Mall.

UPDATE: SUNDAY: At 12:15 p.m., the Times Union reported that the police have leads, but no suspects in custody. Two men were detained for questioning Saturday, but they have since been released. Police are saying that this was an isolated incident, and they are still on the search for one suspect. Reports say that there was one shot fired at the mall Saturday afternoon, and the mall has since reopened for its regular hours. Luckily, no one was hurt.

UPDATE: SATURDAY, 7:39 p.m.:

 

UPDATE: SATURDAY, 5:08 p.m. According to TWC news, Police are looking for a 6'1" African American male, 200lbs  in a white shirt and dark hoodie.

Those that are still being held within the mall in lockdown have been told it could be hours before they are released.

According to a source, the Guilderland Police Chief has confirmed that they have on suspect on video that they are looking for with no one currently in custody at this time. Also no one was injured.

According to status updates, it appears that the mall is currently in lockdown and police are either arriving or are on the scene. You are advised to stay clear of the area as this incident is taken care of. Stay with wgna.com for updates on the situation.

WNYT is reporting that the shooting happened in front of the Apple Store and that police have two people detained.

Some on Facebook are reporting that Colonie Center is also locking down as a precaution, though this has not been officially reported.
