As we prepare for Countryfest 2014, Saturday, July 12 at Schaghticoke Fairgrounds, we share some fun facts about this year’s stars.
Countryfest Fun Facts : Dan + Shay
1. Dan Smyers discovered songwriting at age 14. Shay Mooney learned guitar at age 16.
2. Dan + Shay look up to Brooks and Dunn and Big and Rich. Click here to listen to them explain.
3. Although they wrote several songs together, they never performed together as an act until being signed to Warner Brothers Records. Their first major concert was opening for Hunter Hayes.
