Could Arena Football Be Returning To Albany?

After the Albany Empire folded earlier this year, there are talks of possibly bringing arena football back to the Times Union Center.

Are you already going through football withdrawl now that the Superbowl is done? This could get your football spirits up, especially if you are still getting over the Albany Empire and the Arena Football League folding earlier this year.

Times Union Center General Manager Bob Belber told the Times Union there been 'talks' to explore arena football making a return to Albany. Belber did add that nothing is concrete at this point, but possibly another arena league could be part of bringing football back.

So there are two ways to look at this. One is the glass is half full and it is great to see the TU recognizes how great the Albany Empire's brief run was and they are trying to bring football back. The other is if nothing come to fruition from these talks, it will just mess with our already aching hearts from the loss of the Empire.

Only time will tell. Regardless of the outcome, at least some discussion is being had to bring football back to the TU. There is hope!
