Christmas Tree Lighting And Fireworks Festival And More In Albany On Sunday
This Sunday, it is going to be a busy day in Albany with the Empire State / SEFCU Holiday Tree Lighting and Fireworks Festival.
I told you about the Great Train Extravaganza and the New York State Museum Chocolate Expo. They're also on Sunday in Albany.
The tree lighting festival will be from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. After they light the tree, there’ll be a fireworks display. A little side note, there are actually two trees that will probably both be lit at the same time near the end of the day’s activities.
Most of the events will take place on the plaza, and there will be some family friendly activities like a holiday marketplace, a visit with Santa Clause and more. Remember to dress appropriately, because it’s outdoors.
This seems like it would be the perfect touch to the holiday season. Of course, you could take a break and head across the Hudson to downtown Troy for the Victorian Stroll, just to make it a full afternoon. That’s from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
At the end of the day, you could really get into the holiday spirit. Casey did a blog on the Capital Holiday of Lights in Washington Park.
This is going to be one busy Albany area Sunday. Are you planning to go to any of them? I don't know if you can do all of them in one day.
