Chick-Fil-A Cancels Plan For A Capital Region Location
Chick-fil-A has made a huge splash by opening several new local eateries in 2024, but plans for one Capital Region location have been tabled.
It has been an awesome year for Chick-fil-A fans in the Capital Region.
After years of needing a boarding pass to eat at what used to be our lone Chick-fil-A inside Albany Airport, we have had an influx of new restaurants opening in area including Clifton Park, North Greenbush, and most recently on Central Avenue in Albany.
Another Chick-fil-A location is also in the works and set to open in Latham.
Until recently, one other location was being planned, but those plans have been dropped.
Plans For Brunswick Chick-fil-A Scrapped
Back in January of this year, plans were revealed to build a Chicki-Fil-A on Hoosick Road in Brunswick near Mohawk Avenue. According to a CBS 6 report, this plan has been called off. The proposed retail plaza where the Chick-fil-A would have been located now includes a QuickChek convenience store.
Nothing has been reported at this time if Chick-fil-A plans on developing another Capital Region location in place of the Brunswick eatery.
Thankfully, Chick-fil-A's big year of openings leaves plenty of other options to get our chicken fix in the Capital Region.
