There is a pretty cool exhibition happening at MiSci in Schenectady. It's a model train show that is fun for the entire family. Here are the details. As a parent, it is getting harder to find things to do with the kids. If I hear, "I'm bored" one more time. Well, there is a model train exhibit that is happening in Schenectady at the MiSci museum.

According to the MiSci website, you can head over to the museum to check out the miSci Model Train Show. There is an enormous model train display that measures nineteen by twenty-seven feet. It shows scenes of how trains transformed transportation and were an integral part of the country's growth. The exhibition is called Plasticville and features an amusement park and five concurrently running tracks. There are freight yards too. There is a loading area that has vintage equipment that loads logs onto the trains.

There are also some familiar train sets from the 1930s and 1950s from the Lionel train company. There are antiques of old ALCO steam engines, a 19th century model of a steamboat from the Hudson River, and a 1920s model of the USS Constitution.

The model train show is included with the admission to the MiSci museum. To get tickets, click HERE. The show runs through January 16th.

There are many other exhibitions and things to do and see at the Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci) in Schenectady.
