I am a new pool owner and I never realized how many things other pool owners never tell you. I mean they have all chimed in on chlorine, fences, and what pool floats they love but not about frogs that find their way into your pool. So far we have only had our pool open for a week and there have been four frogs found. Half of them had drowned.

Have you ever gone out to your mailbox and noticed a scented dryer sheet all the way in the back of it? Me either. But you might see it soon. Spring has sprung and summer is around the corner which means an influx of bees. They love to find dark, cool places to make their nests and a mailbox is a perfect place. There is a trick that mail carriers use to deter these pests.

We just moved into a new house and in almost every room is a ceiling fan. We picked out the ones we wanted and the builders hung them for us. That's all I thought we needed to do. Boy was I wrong. Did you know there's something you need to do to the ceiling fans depending on what time of year it is? This little tip blew me away.

Let the construction, road closures - begin.  Crews will start working Monday morning for the multi-million dollar elevated park soon to be known as the "Albany Skyway."  On Saturday, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan announced the detailed road closures and detours that will unfortunately be a way of life if you're traveling into Albany anytime soon.
