As we all get ready for the release of Avengers:Age of Ultron you know the cast menbers will be making their way onto all the talk shows to promote the movie. I like the way ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" handled a recent visit from the cast of the Avengers, he had them play a classic TV game how. Now, seeing as I love the Avengers, and I love Family Feud I can't see this going wrong at all.

I have to say, I am a bit blown away by this project. If you are a "trekkie" like me than you may have also been thinking it's time for a new Star Trek series to emerge yet CBS nor Paramount have announced anything in the works. Enter a private company with fan support through Kickstarter to go ahead and create a brand new pilot to pitch to CBS for television or even a web series.

Most of the time, the SNL opening monologue is a formality and a tradition, a road bump on the way to the actual good parts of an episode. It feels like something the guest host does because he has to, not because anyone on the writing staff actually had a good idea. And that’s why last night’s monologue was such a joyous surprise: it was not only the best monologue of the season, but the best sketch of the whole night.
