George Jones recently cancelled shows due to an on-going recovery after being hospitalized for six days due to an upper respiratory infection. The 80-year-old Country Music Hall of Famer joins the likes of Loretta Lynn and Merle Haggard, who have also had to cancel several recent shows due to illness.

Things are definitely changing in media. People's tastes evolve. Audiences are getting younger. Things that once were hot now are not.  Is HBO in this category?  According to some sources, yes.

I was just reading a story where Kim Kardashian said she is going to run for Mayor.  What? What makes her a qualified candidate? She's good looking and has a reality show?  I know other celebrities made it into public office, like Sonny Bono and Arnold Schwarzenegger- heck, even Gopher from "The Love Boat" was in public office.

Garth Brooks and Connie Smith are two of the newest inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame.  Although both are deserving of the honor, we've thought of 10 other Country legends who we think should be in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Ol' Scottie B is a rather busy guy. Not only do I work here at GNA but I also have some other work on the side. With gas prices the way they are, a man has got to do what a man has got to do!  Because I get so busy, I am usually in need of some kind of pick me up.

Last weekend I went on location for the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society's "Fetch A Friend" at Colonie Center. I knew it was dangerous, as I do love animals, but since they specifically requested I do the event I couldn't say no. Alas, my fears were realized I saw them as soon as I walked around the corner... KITTENS!
