Looking For The Best Lobster Rolls in The Capital Region?
It’s National Lobster Day, which gives me a pretty good excuse to talk about lobster rolls. Honestly, I’d eat one any day of the year. Summer may be over, but I’m not ready to give up one of my favorite tastes of the season.
I am partial to the warm lobster roll, with a ton of butter and piled high with lobster meat. But I’m not turning down a cold one with mayo, either. That’s the fun part of this debate: there really isn’t a wrong answer.
You don’t have to drive all the way to Maine to settle it. There are plenty of places around the Capital Region serving lobster rolls, so we’ve put together a gallery of ten spots worth checking out.
You’ll find everything from small seafood shops and casual local eateries to restaurants that put their own spin on the classic. Some keep it simple and let the lobster do the talking. Others add a few extras or give the roll a fancier twist. Either way, there’s plenty to choose from when the craving hits.
Maybe you’re looking to make your lunch break a little more interesting, or maybe you just feel like treating yourself. I think National Lobster Day is a pretty good reason.
Take a look through the gallery, pick a place that sounds good, and tell me where you stand: warm with butter or cold with mayo?
