US News and World Report has released their annual list of the best places to live in the country, and a Capital Region City is among the upper echelon.

If you are reading this you most likely live in the Capital Region and you are well aware this is a pretty great place to live. Yeah, taxes are high, but our quality of life is pretty great. Once again, US News and World Report is recognizing that quality.

The magazine has released their annual rankings of the 125 Best Places To Live In the USA and Albany has landed pretty high on the list at #28! The cities are scored on several factors including desirability, the local job market, quality of life and home values.

Having lived in several regions of the Northeast, I have to agree with this ranking. Albany itself offers so much to do as far as arts and entertainment, more than any place I have ever lived. It is pretty special, especially all the great Country shows we get! Plus, our proximity to Saratoga Springs and the natural wonders of the Adirondacks and Catskills simply make it an amazing place to live.

Other New York cities that made the list include Buffalo (#52), Syracuse (#54), Rochester (#58) and New York City (#90).
