Cab Driver Led Police To Thief of 90-Year-Old Man

A cab driver helped police catch a man that allegedly stole money from a 90-year-old man in the Albany area. The story was on News 10 ABC, about how 50-year-old Frank Markus of Delmar took a cab from Albany to the victim’s home in Guilderland. After Markus came out of the victim's house, he allegedly had a jar of change. That’s when he had the cab driver take him to the Price Chopper in The Hamilton Square Mall, in Guilderland. While Markus was in the store cashing in the coins is when the cab driver put a call into the Guilderland Police.

The police took Markus and detained him, while they did a little more investigating. He was then arrested. The arraignment got Markus another ride. This time it was to the Albany County Jail. Markus has been charged with burglary in the second degree.
