Autopsy Confirms Body Pulled From The Hudson River Is Matthew Labounty
Troy police are confirming that the body found in the Hudson River yesterday is the body of Matthew Labounty. Labounty, 21, went missing on Christmas Day. Police say they do not believe foul play is involved.
On Wednesday, the body of a white male was found along the Corning Preserve in Albany. Troy detectives, believing the body may be that of Labounty, went to help recover the body. Labounty was last seen walking toward the Menands Bridge around 2 AM on Christmas Eve.
An Albany man taking a walk along the Albany preserve noticed the fully-clothed body partially submerged in mud around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
