Another Hoagie Chain Is Coming Upstate, Set To Open 10 Capital Region Locations
A popular national sub-shiop is set to land in the Capital Region with plans for 10 restaurants in the area.
Here in the Capital Region we already have several great sub-shop chains, but in my experience two of them are really top-flight and rise above the rest: DeBella's (Love their everything bread!) and Jersey Mike's (Gotta have a roast beef Mike's Way!). They simply have great sandwiches - those two are a couple of my go-to's!
Now it looks like we could be adding another great chain to the "top-flight" category!
National Italian Sub Chain To Open 10 Capital Region Restaurants
The perfectlt crafted sandwich is an art form - the perfect balance of bread, meet, veggies and toppings is something you have to get right. And by the looks of their website menu, PrimoHoagies Italian Specialty Sandwiches does just that. From their deli classics to meatball subs to their speicalties like the "Abruuzzi" See photobelow) starring roasted pork, provolone, and broccoli rabe - the menu certainly gets that "top-flight" designation.
Now chances are you have never had a PrimoHoadgie sub as they are not currently operating and restaurants in New York state (though they do currently have shops in New Jersey and Pennsylvania). That will change in 2023.
News 10 is reporting PrimoHoagies just announced they will be opening 10 sub shops in the Capital Region, a few of them as soon as next year. The chain currently operates 140 stores and is looking to open several hundred new locations over the next 5 years.
