In a time when true real life heroes are hard to come by, there was a time when there were many. One of our heroes has passed on.Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf has left us at age 78 due to complications from a bout with pneumonia. He led America's troops gallantly in Operation Desert Storm and was given the nickname of "Stormin' Norman" for his fiery attitude. Many of his troops and friends who served under him said he really didn't like that nickname, and was actually a much softer person who really cared deeply about his men in service. Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf retired some time ago in Tampa, Florida and as a show of love for him the city actually named an elementary school after him. Rest in peace General, and thank you for your service to your country.
