If you are a Yankees fan, you may kick your self today for not dining out in Troy over the weekend.

While we LOVE the Yankees here in Upstate New York, it is not every day we get the opportunity to casually bump into one of our all-time favorite legends to ever 'Don' the pinstripes.

But, that is exactly what happened for some lucky folks at a Troy eatery over the weekend.

New York Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Brings Yankee Greats to Troy

But first, why were multiple Yankee icons in the Capital Region? According to News Channel 13, the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame held their induction ceremony on Sunday at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy. Former Yankees and Mets Manager Buck Showalter was inducted, along with Jessie Barfield, and the Yankee so great 'Baseball' is literally in his nickname!

Don Mattingly's wife Lori posted the photo above yesterday of Donnie Baseball while spending some time at Manory's, the "Best little restaurant in Troy."

It makes perfect sense that an iconic Yankee would choose to dine at Troy's most iconic restaurant while in town over the weekend to be inducted into the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame.

Growing up in the 80's and 90's here in the Capital Region, it's a pretty sure bet you took in a few Albany-Colonie Yankees games at Heritage Park in Colonie.
