Albany Bringing a New Wine Bar Downtown
Looking for new places to hang out in Albany? Well, a new place is coming and the owners' names may look familiar.
Lark Street is getting a new wine bar right where one used to be. What was most recently the home of Mio Posto will soon become Post, according to the Times Union.
August Rosa, owner of Pint Sized with locations in Saratoga and Downtown Albany, is partnering up with Craig Dutra and Nicholas Warchol, the co-owners of Albany's D.P. Dough calzone franchise to open Post.
Their hope is to have Post open in the spring with a focus on wine, but will also have beer options, cocktails and small plates. The space was first a restaurant in 2002, later it was a wine bar for 71/2 years, then Lark & Lily Wine Bar, then Mio Posto for less than 16 months so it's still staying the same wine lane. They haven't put much on their website but you can follow their progress on their social media channels.
