Albany Area Road To Close Again For Ongoing Construction [UPDATE]
UPDATE - June 22, 2012 at 7:45 p.m.
The Fuller Road closures for the weekend could be a problem for some Albany area graduations.
The closings actually start about 9:00 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2012, and continue through the weekend. It’s the closing of Fuller Road from I-90 Exit 2 through Washington Avenue Extension, in Albany.
In a story from News 10 ABC, Shaker High School and Albany High Schools will be holding their graduation ceremonies at the SUNY Albany campus. For Shaker High’s ceremony, North Colonie Central School District posted a traffic advisory statement on their Facebook page. The closure is expected to continue through Monday.

Construction on Fuller Road has been going on since April, 2011, and it’s still going on. According to the New York State Department Of Transportation, this will be continuing until June, 2013.
The last time that part of Fuller Road was closed was back in May. Here we go again. This weekend, the section of Fuller Road to close will be between Washington Avenue and the ramp to I90, in Albany. This time, it’s scheduled to close on 9:00 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2012 and remain closed until Monday, June 25, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. So if you’re planning on going to Crossgates Mall this weekend, you may need to plan an alternative route.
