According to a press release from the East Greenbush Police Department, Francis R. Brew from Hudson, drove his pickup truck into the yard of the Garelick Farms Dairy plant in Rensselaer, and loaded nine drums into the back of the truck and drove off with them.

One of the major concerns of the managers of the plant was that the drums contained traces of strong traces of chemicals that are used o clean equipment. It was determined that Brew was the alleged drum thief after several employees were interviewed and footage was viewed from the security tapes.

Brew was charged with larceny. He appeared at his scheduled court date, but his case was adjourned, and will be rescheduled for a later date.

I believe Garelick Farms has used the tagline ‘add something’ in their commercials. I don’t think they meant add something like 55 gallon plastic drums from their plant to a pickup truck.
