An Air Canada plane skidded off the runway at the Halifax, Nova Scotia airport.

Officials say 25 people were taken to hospitals for minor injuries.  Only one remains in the hospital now.

The plane, facing harsh weather conditions, landed on a snow covered runway.  The landing was so hard, some of the landing gear was ripped off causing the plane to slide on it's belly for an extended period of time.

The plane also hit a power line, forcing a power outage at the airport.  Power was restored shortly after.

The plane was traveling from Toronto.  The investigation into the crash is on going.
