Adirondacks Woman Stabbed to Death! Did Her Daughter Do It?
How well do we really know our neighbors? I say hello to anyone I see while I walk my dog in the morning and evenings but that's about all it is. "Good morning! What a beautiful day." Things like that are exchanged but I can't say I really know my neighbors after living in the same home for 2 years.
Take this Adirondack neighborhood. All accounts are that the town is quiet and some would say nothing much goes on here but that is no longer the case. New York State Police are investigating the death of a 51-year-old woman and her daughter might be involved.

The following is the timeline, as reported by the New York State Police, of an incident that took place in the Village of Tupper Lake, NY on Thursday July 28 2022. At approximately 1pm troopers from Troop B out of Rye Brook were called to a residence on Lakewood Avenue. When officers arrived they found a woman laying dead on the floor.
During the homicide investigation it was discovered that the deceased woman's identity is Melissa Guisewhile of Tupper Lake. Shortly after the investigation began officers arrested a suspect named Alexa J. Gallagher, also of Tupper Lake. Here's the catch.
According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, Alexa J. Gallagher is Melissa Guisewhile's daughter! Gallagher has been charged with Murder in the 2nd Degree and is currently sitting in a Franklin County jail without bail.
Following an autopsy at Glens Falls Hospital it has been determined that Melissa Guisewhile's immediate cause of death is from stabbing and this has now been ruled a homicide. Should you have further information on this case please call Troop B at 518-873-2750.
