There is a little black Mazda that looks to be in rough shape as it has gone through all of the harsh seasons we have here in the Capital Region. Now it is surrounded by snow but it looks as if it has seen better days.

There also seems to be some interior damage too. The windows are down about two inches and water and other elements look as if they have gotten inside.

The NextDoor app which keeps neighborhoods informed throughout the area questioned why this car has sat in the CDTA Park and Ride for so long. Some people want answers and want to know why it hasn't been towed?

Who Is Responsible For This Car?

Bethlehem Police told the Times Union that they can't tow any vehicles from private property. They did say they contacted the owner of the Mazda and because it has license plates, they don't consider it abandoned. However, the inspection sticker expired in November of 2019.

Is CDTA Responsible for Removing the Car?

No. In fact, CDTA is leasing the lot from National Grid. They are the owners of the lot. But they are addressing the issue. They have contacted National Grid to let them know about the vehicle.

There is a bumper sticker on the back of this abandoned Mazda that reads, " Why does IMPERFECTION trouble you so?".

I'm not sure it's imperfection, I think it's just that people want that imperfect eyesore out of the CDTA Park and Ride. I guess we will just wait and see what happens next.
