After telling ESPN he was retiring after the 2017 season, he says nothing is set in stone.

He clarified his plans to reporters today saying that is the way he feels 'right now,' but he reserves the right to change his mind and has no idea how he will feel about the situation in 2 years.

Does this remind you of his response to steroid allegations? First he didn't do it, then he did. At least now though we are not talking about him breaking the rules. But this will be a story-line now for the next 2 years, a distraction the Yankees do not really need.

That said, as long as A-Rod keeps hitting home runs, no will will really care and this will become an afterthought. Once A-Rod got going last year, it did help some move on from the past.

Go Yankees!
