A New King Of Late Night Salaries? – How Much Money Do These TV Stars Make?
There is a new king of late night, if you go by their salaries! TV Guide Magazine will issue its annual survey of star salaries this week, but here is a sneak peak they released today! The Daily Show host Jon Stewart is now earning between $25-30 million a year, that puts Stewart ahead of Jay Leno and David Letterman. Leno now earns around $20 million a year. Letterman is also said to be in the $20 million range.
Our favorite weekly shows have some high paid actors as well! Ashton Kutcher is the top paid actor in prime time with $750,000 an episode for his role on Two and a Half Men. NCIS star Mark Harmon is the highest paid actor in drama, with $525,000 an episode plus a piece of the show's profits. There could be NEW top earners this season! Listen to THIS! Sources tell TV Guide Magazine the three leads of The Big Bang Theory — Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco — are expected to seek new deals that pay them up to $1 million an episode (each currently earns around $325,000 an episode). I have not seen that since Friends, right?
And how about your favorite Judges? Judge Judy makes $47 million a year for the top rated syndicated daytime show Judge Judy. Other Judges like, Blake Shelton on The Voice, makes $4 million per show cycle and Keith Urban makes $5 million a year on American Idol! Those are some costly opinions! But, no one is making more money than this guy. A guy you LOVE to hear speak the truth to our up and coming singers. Mr. Simon Cowell earns $95 million a year for his ownership of the music competition franchise The X Factor.
Some other noteworthy salaries include: Matt Lauer (NBC): $22-25 million A full list of salaries for more than 150 stars appears in this week's of TV Guide Magazine, on newsstands Thursday, August 22!
Wow, I need to ask for a raise!
