In a story from News 10 ABC, the bear was seen in the Whitehall Road and Rose Court vicinity of the city. Authorities contained the bear because of how close it was to schools, residential areas and roads. The bear was taken to a pathology lab by the D.E.C.

There was another bear sighting on Tuesday. This one was closer to the south end of Albany.

This happened before. A few years ago, there were a couple of bears spotted in almost the same areas, another in Rotterdam and East Greenbush.
