I always appreciate getting letters about the school program – especially from the kids. I thought I would share some of these cute and touching letters.
...And they deserve everything they get. Poestenkill folk are really proud of their town. You can tell by the response that I received. Wow! I could have written 5 songs with all of the information. I love it!!
I've had several requests to write songs about these two towns. I've been to both during my travels on the Reading, Writing and Rhyming Tour, but I've never actually written a song about the towns themselves. So lets' take an old fashioned vote here in the comment section at the end of this article.
It's a horrible thing to have to lose your home, regardless of the circumstance, especially at this time of year. But could you imagine being charged for the efforts to save your home? A couple here in the Albany Area are facing just that situation.
We are very fortunate in the Albany area to be blessed with some amazing natural features and outdoor destinations. It is very sad to hear that the The Nature Conservancy has made the poor decision to close the falls on the Poestenkill to the public.
