We’ve all seen places come and go around the Albany area, the place that most of us call home. Some of the places that I used to go to may have been torn down, or they’ve been turned into another business.

I have lived in the Albany area my whole life, and there have been plenty of changes. Even if you haven’t lived in the area for long, I’m sure you’ve seen a good amount of changes. As I was driving into Albany the other day, I started to think about one particular area.

I absolutely, positively LOVE the cell phone that I have right now.  This is not a commercial endorsement, by the way, although we do talk about the phone all the time on the air.  I'll leave it at that.  But no matter what brand you happen to own, you'll thank you're lucky stars that technology has progressed after seeing this old commercial...

I'll be honest, I get as nostalgic as anyone.  I often like to think about how much easier things seemed back in the "good ole days".  Maybe in many ways it was easier, but not so much in the ways that people think. One of the first things people love to complain about these days is the cost of living...

I was reading today about a woman that wrote a book about kissing.  "The science of kissing: what our lips are telling us" by Sheril Kirshenbaum.  OF course, my first thought was "I should have so written a book about kissing."  But she does bring up a really interesting fact in her book.

I remember when I was younger. There were always those "old people" going on and on about how much simpler life used to be. They had no use for the new fangled technology of the day.

What did we do, in a not so distant past, without the technology that we have today?
