It is one of the most anticipated events of the holiday season. Lake George will "Lite Up The Village" this Saturday, November 26th starting at 5:30. The village will have live music, parades, fireworks, and more.

When Do They "Lite Up the Village"?

There is a performance at 5:45 pm and then a community sing-a-long shortly after. At 6:30 pm, more than 10,000 strung Christmas lights through Shepard and Blais Parks will be switched on!

After the lighting, there will be a fireworks display and the Firetrucks Parade.

Firetruck Parade & Meet Santa!

Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by a firetruck parade that will travel up Canada Street to the Lake George Firehouse on Ottawa Street. Bring the little ones to visit with Santa and enjoy holiday music from the Lake George Community Band.

Got An Ugly Sweater? The Whole Family Can Win!

The Lake George "Lite Up The Village" event isn't just pretty holiday decorations, there are contests too. You can enter the Adirondacks Ugly Sweater Contest. Just wear an outrageous holiday sweater and you could win a $100 gift certificate. New this year, there is a children's division of ugly sweaters. Children 13 and under can enter too.

The Event is a Big Draw!

Village Mayor Bob Blais says that several thousand people will join in "Lite Up The Village 2022". He said,

This is the Village’s biggest event of the year. Come early and find a place to park. Dress in your crazy sweater and enjoy a great family evening.

If you do attend, organizers are asking people to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to the Tri-County Marines toy drive.
