Attempted Delicious Dessert – Nailed It…Not [PICS]

I am by no means a cook or a baker, but when I saw this recipe pop up on Facebook, I thought this might be fun and delicious to make. I mean it looked pretty easy and awesome. Well, it didn't turn out anything like the video. Jenn is the baker in the family. Actually she cooks all of our meals and makes awesome desserts. When I brought to her attention the individual apple pie video on Facebook, I thought that we could make these together.

We bought all of the ingredients and followed the video step by step. It didn't turn out exactly as planned. We started by peeling the apples, coring them, rolling them in a cinnamon and sugar mix. Then we put a caramel in the middle of the apple and wrapped the outside in filo dough.

Let's just say that we had fun making them, but they didn't turn out anything like the video. Here is our dessert compared to theirs. I have to say they were delicious though.
