I'll admit it, I've donated many of my Sunday nights to making the Kardashian family richer.  But, when I saw the premiere the other night, I was irritated, upset, and put off.  They have become even more obnoxious, even more rich, and now they have all kinds of problems that they have created themselves by being so rich and obnoxious.

Then, I saw the premiere of the new E! show, '#RichKids of Beverly Hills,' and I drew the line.

I've had it with rich people.

Did you know, the 85 richest people in the world have as much money as the 3.5 billion poorest!

These kids know wealth that you and I will never know - million dollar shopping sprees, a hundred thousand dollar bottle of wine, a "staff" for God's sake!  And, they've done nothing to earn it.

These shows, while entertaining the masses, also perpetuate the idea that you can be rich without hard work, and the idea that those material things are the important things in life.

It makes me sick, and I'm not the only one.  In fact, Bethenny had the cast of #RichKids on her show the other day the audience turned on them.  One woman even called them spoiled brats!

Here's the clip -

Some people might say I'm just jealous.  And, well, maybe I am.  But, like the girl in the audience who said she has had a job her whole life, so have I.  And, so have my parents, sometimes two, and for a couple of years when I was growing up, three!  I know what it feels like to hear the word "no" and, while I believe it has made me a better person, I sometime am a little jealous!

Money doesn't buy happiness, but it sure can buy comfort and security.

And furthermore, I think rich people are not as much fun to watch!  Take Jon and Kate Plus 8, the more money the family got, the less "we" liked them.  We want to watch a mom couponing, trying to save money enough to feed her 8 kids!  When she was getting spray tans and plastic surgery, we got a little pissed!

Honey Boo Boo's family was living the Redneck life in the first season of the show, well, now they've gotten a few paychecks, and we don't care as much.  Why?  Because we can't relate, and we don't think it's fair.

I'm gonna keep watching, though.  And probably so are you.
