A Taylor Swift Timeline

December 13, 1989:  Taylor Swift is Born.

June 19, 2006:  16 year old Taylor releases “Tim McGraw” single.

October 24, 2006: Self-titled debut album, “Taylor Swift” released.

Relationship Timeline: Taylor sings about some guy named Drew in “Teardrops on My Guitar” – she wonders why is he checking out another girl when she’s right there?!

May 15, 2007: Taylor sings “Tim McGraw” to Mr. Tim McGraw himself at The Academy of Country Music Awards.

August 2007: Taylor appears in Brad Paisley video for “Online”.

October 2007: Taylor wins Songwriter/Artist of the Year at Nashville Songwriters Association

October 14, 2007: “Sounds of the Season: The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection” is released.

November 2007: Taylor wins CMA Horizon Award.

December 22, 2007:  “Our Song” is Taylor’s first number one single.

2008: Taylor is rated number 57 in Maxim’s List of Sexiest Women for 2008 and voted CosmoGirl of the year.

July 15, 2008: Taylor releases EP called “Beautiful Eyes” exclusively at Wal-Mart stores.

July 25, 2008: Taylor graduates high school.

November 11, 2008:  Taylor’s second studio album, “Fearless” is released.

Relationship Timeline: Taylor dates Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers and admits to writing “Forever and Always” about their relationship.

February 6, 2009: Tickets to Los Angeles “Fearless” concert sells out in 2 minutes.

February 8, 2009:  the single, “Love Story” has the most paid downloads in history and the first country song to top the Mainstream Top 40 chart.

Relationship Timeline: Taylor dates Lucas Till – the guy who appears in the video “You Belong with Me”.

March 5, 2009: Taylor Swift appears on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in her prime time television acting debut.

April 5, 2009: Taylor becomes the youngest artist in history to win Album of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

April 18, 2009:  Taylor’s self-titled album becomes the 2^nd best-selling country album in history.

Relationship Timeline: Summer of 2009 was when Taylor dated Taylor Lautner.  Some people say “Back to December” was a song Taylor wrote about their break up.
September 13, 2009: Taylor gets “Kanye’d” during her acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Relationship Timeline: Rumors suggest Taylor dates John Mayer in 2010, and that the song, “Dear John” is about him.  Neither John or Taylor admit to dating, and she has never said the song was written about their break up, either.

This is a busy time, as she was also seen with Glee star Cory Monteith and with Toby Hemingway.

October 25, 2012: Taylor releases her third studio album, “Speak Now”.  The album debuted number one on the US Billboard 200 chart.  It sold over one million copies in one week.

Relationship Timeline:  Also in 2010, Taylor dates Jake Gyllenhaal, and it’s said many of the songs on the “Red” album are about their romance, including “All Too Well”.

February 2011: Relationship Timeline – Taylor and Zac Efron date briefly while promoting “The Lorax”, although Taylor denies it on Ellen.

2012: Relationship Timeline: Taylor dates Eddie Redmayne when they were both auditioning for Les Miserables. (Eddie got the part he tried out for, Taylor did not).

July 2012: Relationship Timeline: Taylor tries a younger man when she dates Conor Kennedy – a guy still in high school.  They have a summer fling before Conor returns to high school and Taylor heads off on her fall tour.  It’s believed that “Everything has Changed” is written about Conor, while “Starlight” may be written about Conor’s grandmother, Ethel.

October 2012: Taylor’s fourth studio album, “Red” is released.  The album sells over 1.2 million copies in the first week of it's release, and becomes Taylor's third umber one album on the US Billboard 200.  The only female to beat the first week sales of "Red" was Britney Spears with her "Oops, I Did it Again" album which sold 1.3 million copies in its' first week.

November 2012: Relationship Timeline: Taylor dates Harry Styles from One Direction.  They break up soon after New Year’s.  We're still waiting for the album that will come from this relationship.
