Taylor Swift By The Numbers

Artists are now campaigning for votes for the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 3.   I was quite impressed when I received Taylor Swift's press kit stacked with stats about why she deserves my vote. 

Whether you like her music or not, you cannot deny the fact that this young lady has shattered sales records and has an amazingly large and loyal fan base, much like Garth had in the 90s.  According to Big Machine Records, these are the many numerical reasons Taylor Swift should be a big winner at the ACM Awards in 2011.

35,564,037- You are reading this correct, over 35 MILLION legal downloads of singles and albums.  Taylor is the #1 selling digital artist in Soundscan history.

17,000,000- I was happy to get 5,000, but Taylor Swift has a record number of Facebook Fans, and the number continues to grow.

4,470,452- The number of albums sold in 2010, making her the top selling artist of the year.

1,535,000- The number of tickets purchased on the Fearless Tour.

1,128,000- The most played artist of 2010 with 1,128,000 spins on radio.

1,046,740-  The number of albums sold in the debut week of "Speak Now's" release.  More than any other Country studio album in history.  This excludes Greatest Hits, re-releases, and live albums.
