When I looked at News 10 -ABC and WGNA chief meteorologist Steve Caporizzo's forecast I thought it was a bad joke. I'm sad to report that it is not.

With the cold temperatures and a lot of moisture heading our way the two will collide and a lot of snow is going to fall here in the Albany are, and even more to the South and East. We're under a Winter Storm Warning Saturday afternoon through Saturday night for the listening area.

Some of the accumulation predictions look like this.

4- 8 inches in the valleys

8-12 inches in the hill towns and mountains East and West of Albany

12+ inches on the high elevations of the Catskills Berkshires and Southern Green Mountains.

Here's Steve's forecast so you can hear all the details and prepare.
