The signs were recently taken down from Bow Tie Cinemas at the Wilton Mall.

I guess the good news through all of this is other Bow Tie locations will remain open in the Capital Region including Saratoga Springs and Schenectady. But it is sad to see the Wilton Mall location has closed up shop for good. A Times Union story confirmed the Wilton theater has closed due to the pandemic. All three locations were at one point shut down during the pandemic, but Wilton never reopened with the other two locations in December.

The Wilton Bow Tie joins a long list of local, Capital Region businesses that closed due to COVID. The struggle has been real for so many locally, and as we continue to hear the news of positive momentum of things starting to loosen up, the window of opportunity closed long ago for many local business to come out on the other side of the pandemic. As many I am sure are still teetering on the brink, now is more important than ever to get out there and support them as COVID restrictions continue to loosen.
