This year Punxsutawney Phil precited 6 more weeks of winter. And here we are getting ready for a burst of spring-like air later this week!

Albany Area To See Mild Spring-Like Temperatures Later This Week

Outside of a few snowstorms and that big arctic blast to kick off February it has been a relatively uneventful winter so far this year. Snowfall has been below average, and we have had some pretty mild stretches of weather. This week will be a VERY mild stretch for mid-February.

The mild temps continue Thursday with a high of 56, but there will be a 60% chance of rain later in the day.

With these next couple days of spring-like warmth ahead, I would guess any snow we have left on the ground will melt away. Could this be the last snow we see this winter? Chances are no with a good 4+ weeks of winter still ahead of us - but it is feeling more and more like March will be more like a lamb than a lion!
