What are the best and worst states to plan a summer road-trip to? Some of the best are right in our backyard.

Wallethub recently did a study to determine the best states to make a road-trip to. The study was based on lodging costs, the safety of roadways and the number of fun/scenic destinations. Our neighbors all ranked really well! Vermont and Maine landed at 10 and 11 respectively, and New Hampshire is 14. Our beloved home of New York ranked 17 with Massachusetts at 18.

So if you are looking to plan some great trips this summer, you've got some great destinations close by with PLENTY to do. That's the great thing about living in the Northeast. Lots of cool stuff close by to do for the summer: the mountains, lakes, and the ocean is not too far. Plus it doesn't get too hot!
