University of Albany Student Found Dead on Campus

The body of a resident of the Freedom Apartments has been identified by the police as 21-year-old Ravin Pahladsingh, an undergraduate student from Queens, N.Y.

According to the story at News10.com, UAlbany VP for Student Affairs Michael Christakis said the following in a statement:

Ravin’s death is a tragic loss, and we offer our deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.

During this difficult time, we encourageyou to seek support through Counseling and Psychological Services, the Middle Earth Peer Assistance Program, and the Interfaith Center.

Ravin's family has been notified and now police are looking into the mysterious death. While his body was found in a wooded area on campus, police say there is no indication the death was suspicious or criminal. They are treating it as a crime until the investigation is complete.
