Unique Fast Food Chain Looking To Open In Capital Region
A unique fast-food restaurant is looking to open locations in the Capital Region. Although primarily in Canada, they hope to break into the Albany area soon.
After rolling out company-owned locations on Long Island and New Jersey earlier this year, New York Fries is now searching for franchise partners to help expand its reach in Albany and other areas along the East Coast.
The chain has a simple strategy: find smaller spaces in high-traffic areas. In Canada, New York Fries has focused mainly on shopping malls, and they’re hoping to make a similar move into popular U.S. shopping centers.
According to the Albany Business Review, a representative for the company said,
We’ve pretty much filled all the Canadian malls we can and are now looking to grow in the U.S.
In Albany, New York Fries is eyeing spots like Crossgates Mall, Colonie Center, and Stuyvesant Plaza. The representative said,
We’re looking for locations with strong foot traffic where people are in the mood for snacks or quick meals.
Despite predictions that malls would decline as online shopping grew, they’re making a comeback. A recent study showed that malls are making a resurgence.
With an eager eye on the U.S. market, New York Fries is ready to bring their tasty fries to more Americans looking for a quick, satisfying bite.
