Tucker Beathard’s Dumbest Injury? ‘Momma and Jesus’ Would Not Be Proud
Tucker Beathard's new Jackass-inspired music video for "Momma and Jesus" fits him better than the lingerie he's seen wearing during the paintball scene. This recovering country bad boy stirred up a little trouble growing up, and he has the scars to prove it — literally.
A naked pedal tavern ride, human bowling and a high-flying swimming pool dive are essential to this music video. During this 4 Things You Need to Know video, Beathard reveals if he was really naked, what he wouldn't do and what he's afraid of. Then he talks about his dumbest injury ever and oh my gosh ... kids, do not try this at home!
Tucker Beathard and Country's Other Hottest Acts Under 25
Beathard's "Momma and Jesus" is his second single from an upcoming album, expected in 2017. "Rock On" was a No. 1 hit for a Nashville-raised singer-songwriter who grew up watching his father Casey turn out hits for artists like Kenny Chesney and Eric Church.
"There was really nothing I wouldn't do," Beathard tells Taste of Country. "The skateboard down the hill thing, I didn't wanna wipe out on that and break a finger ... even just like breaking a finger it's like, 'Crap, now I can't play guitar.'"
Last summer the 22-year-old earned a country music education on tour with Dierks Bentley. This winter he's hitting the road with Luke Combs and Brantley Gilbert on Gilbert's The Devil Don't Sleep Tour. Beathard says he looks forward to getting to know both country men, and he's looking forward to releasing an album filled with songs he's had in his pocket for several years.
