That’s when their permit expires. They have been allowed to stay in Academy Park since October 21.

In the early stages of the protest, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo wanted the state police to enforce a curfew of 11:00 p.m. for Lafayette Park. This is the park that adjoins Lafayette Park, which is owned by the state.

One of the big issues of the protest is to reconsider raising taxes on the wealthiest New Yorkers.

From a story on Fox 23 News, some of the protestors have made comments that they will stay in the park on Thursday, even though the permit will be expired.

One of the reasons they city won’t renew their permit is for health and safety issues, especially with then extreme cold temperatures that we can expect this time of year.

I think these protestors are really making more people angry, regardless of the issues and the beliefs of the protestors. How do feel about what they’re doing? Do feel like they'll ever accomplish anything?
