I'm a 90s kid so I have a certain connection to anything 1990s or early 2000s. To my surprise, when I clicked around the Internet yesterday I saw that Tamagotchis were trending, I had to figure out why!

I have great memories with Tamagotchis as a kid. My Mom is a single Mom. She worked a lot of the time when I was a kid and I spent a lot of time with my Grandmother so pets weren't an option since we weren't home a lot. I was allowed a pet fish or two but when Tamagotchis came out, it seemed like the perfect way to teach me responsibility without being unfair to a dog or a cat.

This year celebrates the 20 year anniversary of the digital pets so to celebrate, they're relaunching them, starting with Amazon Japan. According to NY Daily News, those who remember Tamagotchis will be happy to know that you'll be able to find the same 6 characters, the only difference is that they'll be a little smaller than you remember.

I remember in 4th grade, the digital pet craze was at its peak and my elementary school banned them. We all freaked out because we put so much work into our pets only to have them die from hunger by the time they got home. IT WASN'T FAIR! Now that the world is a lot more digital than it was in the 1990s-2000s, this seems like the perfect time to bring a toy like this back. Which toy from your childhood do you miss the most?
